Rosneft promises to stem attempts to publish misinformation

MOSCOW, Mar 4 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft will stem the attempts to publish and disseminate misinformation aimed at harmting the company and will protect its interests in court, Rosneft said in a statement late Wednesday.

"In connection with the requests about filing of lawsuits against some media, Rosneft notifies ... Acting in the interests of its shareholders, Rosneft intends to stop all attempts to publish and disseminate false information aimed at harming the company, and to defend its interests in court," it said.

The Moscow Arbitration Court registered on Wednesday Rosneft’s suits against newspapers Novaya Gazeta, IStories fonds, the editor of Vazhniye Istorii, and Bloomberg. According to the registration information, the suits are about information of legal importance.
